There are lots of oddballs and problematic people on 90 Day Fiancé, but the latest cast member making headlines is Brittany Banks. Fans are wondering what’s going on, given that Brittany from 90 Days: The Other Way deleted her Instagram, per Screen Rant. Well, kind of. She used to have an account under the handle @itsbrittanybanks, but for some reason, decided to change it to @thebossbrittany, which is where you can find all her selfies, dancing videos, and memes. So don’t worry, there’s no need to freak out.  

In case you have trouble keeping all the 90 Day characters straight, Brittany was moving to Jordan to be with her fiancé Yazan. The 26-year-old rapper caught fans’ attention when she dismissed remarks about adapting to his Muslim culture and said she’s already lied to him about getting a divorce from her first husband, who was deported back to Haiti. 

Brittany also said cringeworthy things about her past — specifically that older men were attracted to her braces: “You would have to be 45 and older to even talk with me and my braces have worked in my favor. The older, settled gentlemen really like it.” Brittany added that the oldest man she dated was “probably about 83 or 84 or 85,” per Screen Rant. This led to many wondering if she’d been a “sugar baby,” which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but definitely might not be something she’d want to share with Yazan. Could that be why she did some Instagram housekeeping?

In the premiere of 90 Days: The Other Way, Brittany Banks was seen leaving the country to be with her fiancé Yazan in Jordan. On Instagram, she posted a clip and wrote of the premiere episode, “The other way premiering on TLC June 1st. Yes, I been very private recently cus it’s about to get real public. I’m a savage, classy, boujie, ratchet.. forgot the rest cus the tiger king version is stuck in my head but gon head and Enjoy.” So switching handles might be a way to get out of any old tagged posts she doesn’t want viewers to see, or just a way to rebrand herself as she embarks on her reality TV star journey. Get it girl. 

And Brittany is about that hustle, for sure. Some sleuthing reporters over at Starcasm deduced that she has two OnlyFans accounts under @ItsBrittanyBanks and @ItsTheBrittany. OnlyFans is a site where people buy and sell nudes and videos, which again, isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but now that means she may be getting millions more “fans” and eyeballs now that her season of 90 Days is airing. However, Starcasm reported that her most recent activity on OnlyFans was back in January 2020, so it’s unclear if she plans to continue using that platform. She’s also got a YouTube channel called The Boss Brittany that she posted on as recently as May 2020.

Brittany Banks has also been accused of buying followers (per Screen Rant), which might be another reason she switched Instagram handles. Apparently fans noticed that engagement on her posts was pretty low, but that she had some 30,000 followers. Brittany reportedly responded to the allegations on Instagram Story saying (via Starcasm), “I took all my photos down & changed my name/ I changed my brand! That’s why I have 327k followers and not a lot of likes or comments. If I post a booty picture I’ll have like 39,000 likes. But I don’t want to.”

All of that Instagram drama is a little confusing, but there’s one thing people definitely know so far about Brittany after the 90 Days: The Other Way Season 2 premiere in June 2020: She 100% is getting set up to be an interesting character — and maybe even a sort of 90 Day Fiancé villain.

In addition to details about her past dating life, the Palm Springs native shared that she actually wants to be a rapper (though she said she’s also into marketing, but marketing what she didn’t specify). In fact, she even has a video up online of the song that she sang in the premiere about Yazan. With all of this content she’s creating, fans will just have to keep an eye on her Insta.

I Do, Redo host, and Meghan Markle BFF, Jessica Mulroney’s Instagram was blasted for “white privilege.” Canadian lifestyle blogger, Sasha Exeter called out Mulroney for her silence during the Black Lives Matter resurgance.

Jessica Mulroney, Markle’s best friend, met Markle when she was pre-royalty back in 2011, and the two have been besties ever since. Mulroney’s children, Ivy, Brian, and John even attended the royal wedding. Mulroney, who also happens to be a stylist, reportedly helped Markle pick out the right wedding dress designer. However, haters continue to hate. Mulroney has continuously stood up for her best friend, Markle when the Duchess received backlash for her decisions.

In today’s world staying silent can also be just as bad when there is a worldwide movement happening. Mulroney has been accused of staying quiet for far too long amid the Black Lives Matter movement. Canadian lifestyle blogger, Sasha Exeter has devoted much of her time to trying to get important influencers to speak out on the current “race war.” In a video posted to her Instagram, she told followers that she tried not to call anyone out directly. She holds on to that sentiment for a short minute then reveals that a “very prominent Canadian” who she is friends with had recently been on the offensive regarding one of the Lifestyle Manager’s social media stories. The story shared a simple call to action as Exeter was trying her best to educate her followers. Exeter went on to explain in her video that after she posted her story, Mulroney, exhibiting some bad behaviors and antics that resulted in the I Do, Redo host sending her a threat in writing on Wednesday. Exeter wanted to make perfectly clear that she was not calling Mulroney a racist but was flat out saying that her friends were very aware of how much money she had. She noted that Mulroney knows her power and privilege due to the color of her skin. Exeter said that it gave Mulroney the confidence to come for her “livelihood in writing.”

The Canadian blogger ended her video by saying in her opinion she believed her friend showed her textbook white privilege. The Toronto fashion blogger went on to explain what started their fight saying that the royal friend never wanted to stand up and use her voice for the greater good and did not feel as if she needed to. To Exeter, this attitude was foreign to her as she is very social and in support of the cause. Not to mention the I Do, Redo host, Mulroney is supposedly best friends with one of the most famous black women in the world, Meghan Markle.

If you haven’t watch 365 DNIyet, it’s the steamy new Netflix film that people are saying makes Fifty Shades of Grey look PG.

The polish film – based on author Blanka Lipinska’s novel of the same name -is an erotic romantic drama following the rather, ahem, subversive relationship between Laura Biel and Massimo Torricelli.

And just like they did with Jamie Dornan, people are lusting hard over the lead actor Michele Morrone, who stars alongside Anna Maria Sieklucka.

Of course, it’s not hard to see why he’s an instant hit: he’s tall, he’s chiselled, he’s more than a little handsome.

(He’s controlling and a kidnapper, too – but we don’t talk about that part).

“I will no longer be entertaining any conversations about Christian Grey. This is a purely Massimo account now #365dni #365days,” one woman wrote on Twitter after watching the movie.

As another gushed: “Only took me 20 min to fall in love w Massimo”.

Quoting the film, another wrote: “Are you lost babygirl ??,” before adding: “Yes I’m lost…I’m very lost please find me massimo find me”. LOL.

But if you think your crush on the character Massimo is intense, wait until you take a look at actor Michele’s Instagram…

There’s one of him riding a horse, another of him wading through the sea.

Then again, there are always those pregnant folks who just look chill and unfussed all the time, regardless of the season or the swelter weather. Ciara is certainly one. Nikki and Brie Bella, for sure. And the latest addition to the definitely-not-hot-and-bothered Mom Team is Eniko Parrish Hart, who is pregnant with her second child with husband Kevin Hart, barely seems to be feeling the heat; she appears to be cool as a cucumber and gorgeous as all get-out in pregnancy photos she shared this week on Instagram.

She captioned her Instagram Story with the word “Bumpin” as she lounged in a hammock and gave her belly some time to breathe in a bunched-up tank top. 

This candid photo of Parrish Hart looks like she’s been relaxing all day, but it was actually taken moments after she was running after her 2.5-year-old son, Kenzo Kash, whom she filmed having a bubble party. Well, it was less of a party and more of a bubble-blowing bonding moment.

“’Chillin’. This boy is rough on the knees,” Hart captioned another photo of herself lying in the hammock with a crying-laughing emoji. 

With a toddler to run after and a baby on the way, Parrish Hart certainly has her hands full. But from the look of her laid-back pregnancy photo opps, it’s clear she’s taking it all in stride and maybe even carving out some time for herself, too. Can she teach us how to do that, please?

Rapper Travis Scott has been named in a copyright-infringement lawsuit for allegedly stealing the guitar riff featured in his popular “Highest in the Room” track.

21-year-old Danish producer Benjamin Lasnier filed the lawsuit in a California federal court, naming Travis Scott, Sony Music, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and others as defendants. Digital Music News obtained an exclusive copy of the corresponding copyright-action notification.

According to the plaintiffs and their legal team, the guitar part was posted to Lasnier’s personal Instagram story in 2019, at which point one of Scott’s team members reached out to discuss utilizing the riff. As part of the discussion, Lasnier forwarded several recordings (including the riff) to this individual – but didn’t grant him or Travis Scott permission to use the media in “Highest in the Room” or any other track.

Lasnier eventually recognized his (slightly altered) riff in “Highest in the Room,” according to the complaint, and decided to move forward with the legal complaint.

At the time of this writing, Travis Scott had yet to publicly address the lawsuit; similarly, Benjamin Lasnier hadn’t posted about the subject via any of his social-media handles. The Luxembourg native has more than 766,000 Instagram followers – a fact that may lend additional credibility to the lawsuit’s claim that an associate of Scott contacted Lasnier to discuss the guitar riff.

Scott participated in Black Out Tuesday last week, publishing a blacked-out image on his Instagram account. Previously, the 28-year-old made headlines for his innovative Fortnite concert, which a record-breaking 12.3 million people watched live.

And late last month, the six-time Grammy nominee collaborated with Spanish artist Rosalía for a second time, on a song entitled “TKN.” The work marks Scott’s first Spanish-language vocal effort, and its official YouTube video has garnered over 26 million views thus far.

“This ain’t f—ked up hair, ya know? This is natural. Natural, strong hair,” Cardi B once said in an old Instagram video that she recently reposted on her story on June 8. 

On that day for her story, she gave her 67 million followers a treat by showcasing her natural face and natural, “puffed up” mane amid the uprising of Black Lives Matter protests and conversations in the United States. 

The comedic and outspoken 27-year old is notorious for glam looks and a vast wig collection of bold and unique hair colors and textures- each crafting their own fashion-forward statement – but on June 8, she was all natural.

In addition to her glam, Cardi B is also known for her willingness to speak out on controversies and injustices such as the murder of George Floyd, which has ignited the most recent Black Lives Matter protests in the United States. Seeing people in her community outraged, she pridefully joined the chorus. 

“Yes! Finally! Finally motherf—–s is gonna hear us now. Yeah!’” she also recently posted on Instagram.  

On June 8, In the midst of her showing off her natural hair and how she cares for her ‘pajon’ or ‘poof,’ she indirectly made another fashion-forward and political statement challenging the Eurocentric beauty standards embedded in society that many Afrcian Americans know too well. 

She showcased how she embraces her African roots from her Dominican and Trinidadian parents as evident in her hair, especially during a time in America where being Black is considered not beautiful and worthless.

In the Black community, Eurocentric hair types are often sought after as they are what is deemed as beautiful and feminine in American media and society. 

Taking into consideration the different hair textures they and or their descendants possess, the hair types produced are often stereotyped as being “incapable of growing,” “dry,” and with “bad texture.”

The stereotype runs so deep that Black people and others with Black roots such as Dominicans, also believe their hair is “bad,” and other negative perceptions about it that propel a lot of them to hide under wigs, or change their hair texture through straightening, relaxing, and more. 

This idea was evident in the astonishment expressed by the rapper’s fans after she shared pictures of her natural hair. 

Many of her fans of or mixed with African descent applauded the length of her hair and demanded she wear it as such more often. 

“Unbelievable” was the comment of many. Another asked on Twitter: “is that your natural hair or a wig?” to which she replied “my hair.” 

There is a steady rise in the Latinx community with African roots challenging the American standard of beauty and its misrepresentation of all Latinas worldwide. 

Amara La Negra, is another Dominican-American artist who rejects her Dominican culture’s pressure of straightening one’s hair to make it appear “bueno” or “good” and is empowering those who may not fit the mainstream Latina stereotype. 

She rocks her afro and challenges the Dominican norm of only embracing their Caucasian roots and forgetting about the African ones. Amara shares the same anxiety experienced by many of African descent in the U.S about living with melanated skin and African features. 

“I go into a total panic because even though I’m Afro-Latina, we feel the same fears as the African-American community,” she told Allure. “Until you talk to us, you don’t know that we’re Latino. We’re seen as black and we have the same fears.”  

In a moment of realization, Amara saw she was altering her hair for others and stopped perming it. 

“Years later, I’m still rocking my ‘fro. I’m just not open-minded to feeling that I have to change the way I look to fit society’s standards of beauty,” she said.

In Cardi B’s case, this is not the first time she’s flaunted her natural hair for her fans. However, considering she did this amid the activism and solidarity shown to the Black community in present times, it’s yet another show of solidarity with Black lives and the physical features of those Black lives.

Having short and or textured hair does not deem one less attractive or worthy. As Cardi B and her fans proved, Black features are no less beautiful than what one has been taught.
