Twitter: How To Share Someone’s Video Without Retweeting

It is actually possible to post a Twitter video from another user without having to retweet their Tweet. While the process is simple enough, it does vary slightly depending on whether using an Android smartphone or an iPhone. There’s also a pretty simple way to tweet someone else’s video using the desktop version of Twitter as well.

Twitter is a popular platform for individuals looking to express themselves, in spite of the limited number of characters a user can put in a single Tweet. One of the easiest ways to overcome the character limitation is to include media and visual assets. These not only add the visual element to a post, but can also further add context, or expand on a point being made. For example, while a user can only post so many characters, they can easily record a video and share that, with the video going into far more detail than the limited number of characters ever could. Similarly, there are times when a user might want to share someone else’s video, but not actually share their Tweet.

There are many reasons why you might want to share someone else’s video without actually retweeting. One reason could be to create a unique post with just the text, message and video without another account, or information in the original Tweet included. Being able to retweet just the video in this case, results in a more streamlined post with just the user’s Twitter account and message. Likewise, Twitter users don’t have to worry about promoting another account that they do not know anything about. Twitter is all about users voicing their own opinions and this way video posts can be personalized exactly to the user’s requirements. As detailed in a Medium post, there are multiple ways to share a video on Twitter, including via mobile phone and the desktop browser.

Sharing Videos On Twitter Without Retweeting

Twitter Retweets

All iPhone users need to do is find the video they wish to share and then hold down on the video’s play button. This will open the settings menu that includes options like “Tweet video” or “Share Via.” Clicking on the Tweet Video option will generate a Twitter URL in a new Tweet message. Then it is just a matter of customizing the text before hitting sending. For Android users, the process is a little different. First, find the video to be shared and then copy the URL. Compose a Tweet as normal and then paste the URL link in the Tweet. To ensure you only reshare the video, “/video/1” (without the quotation marks) needs to be added to the end of the pasted URL.

For those wanting to share a Twitter video using a desktop computer and the browser version of Twitter, there’s a way to that too. While not as smooth sailing, it’s doable and becomes easier with practice. First, find the Twitter video to be shared and then click on the drop-down arrow in the top-right hand corner of the Tweet. This will open the settings menu which includes an “Embed Tweet” option. Click this and then select the “Copy Code.” This code will then need to be pasted somewhere else and the video link extracted. For reference, this is usually the second link in the code and typically starts with “https://t.co.” Once the correct link is found, copy and paste it directly into a new Tweet and when published, only the Twitter video will have been shared.

In conjunction with release week for Lady Gaga’s “Chromatica,” the artist enjoyed another big week on YouTube.

According to preliminary data for the May 29-June 4 tracking week, Gaga amassed approximately 157 million global streams across official uploads and select user-generated content. Her most supportive cities included Bangkok (4.03 million views), Jakarta (2.24 million views), and Quezon City (1.73 million views).

“Sour Candy,” her new collaboration with BLACKPINK, unsurprisingly led the way. YouTube credits the collaboration with 47.8 million views.

“Rain On Me,” her duet with Ariana Grande, also fared well. It registered 28.4 million views during the tracking period, taking #2 among Gaga tracks for the week.

Eyes were not, however, strictly on songs from “Chromatica.” The artist’s #3 performer was “Shallow (with Bradley Cooper),” the focus of 8.13 million views.

“Bad Romance,” an even earlier hit, took #4 with 6.32 million.

Lead “Chromatica” single “Stupid Love” earned #5 with 5.24 million, while early hit “Poker Face” grabbed #6 with 4.5 million.

“Sine From Above (with Elton John),” a “Chromatica” track, followed at #7 with 3.46 million views. “A Star Is Born” standout “I’ll Never Love Again (with Bradley Cooper)” earned #8 with 3.3 million. “Chromatica” tracks “Alice” (3.16 million) and “911” (3.08 million) followed at #9 and #10, respectively.

Her next-highest ranking songs were as follows:

11) Chromatica I – 2.67 million (Chromatica)
12) Always Remember Us This Way – 2.38 million
13) Telephone featuring Beyonce – 2.31 million
14) Babylon – 2.23 million (Chromatica)
15) Free Woman – 2.05 million (Chromatica)
16) Alejandro – 1.92 million
17) Plastic Doll – 1.83 million (Chromatica)
18) Fun Tonight – 1.82 million (Chromatica)
19) Enigma – 1.73 million (Chromatica)
20) Replay – 1.71 million (Chromatica)

Here’s the story behind the new ‘Charlotte Black Owned’ Instagram account

BY DEVNA BOSE

With more than 6,000 followers and growing fast, a new Instagram page is encouraging locals to support Black-owned businesses in Charlotte in a show of solidarity.

After witnessing the protests that have taken place in Charlotte and all over the United States, Jeff and Madeline Carothers, along with their longtime friend Ashley Creft, felt compelled to start the account to help further the movement.

“Being Black in America and in this city right now, we thought this was something we could do,” Madeline said. “We thought our role could be this, making an impact, even in a small way.”

But the effect hasn’t been small at all — the Instagram account, which was just created Sunday, has already garnered thousands of followers.

“We didn’t think support for this page would be as huge and fast as it’s been,” Madeline said. “It’s been a little overwhelming, in a good way, that so many people agree with the page’s mission.

THOUSANDS OF BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES

Only one day after the account’s creation, followers tagged hundreds of local Black-owned businesses in the page’s comments. Now, thousands are listed.

“We stopped counting,” Madeline said.

She said she believes the account is resonating with so many because of the common struggle Black Charlotteans face when starting a small business.

Charlotte is a beautiful city, and it’s growing fast. It’s supposed to be a place where there’s lots of opportunity, but if you’re Black like us, you see Charlotte from another perspective,” Creft said. “Sometimes you have to retreat to a ‘for us by us’ mindset. So I guess we wanted to uplift those people and highlight those struggles.”

Madeline knows these struggles personally — she’s a business owner herself. Though she and Creft are full-time social workers, Madeline spends evenings working on her wig-making company, A Curl’s Dream.

Oftentimes, Black businesses and entrepreneurs don’t have the same resources as their white counterparts and are forced to self-fund and/or rely on funding from friends and family to start their ventures. Bringing visibility to these businesses helps them succeed.

“We’ve seen how Charlotte has evolved, and there’s been a lot of gentrification,” Creft said. “Many Black businesses haven’t been able to withstand those changes.”

Supporting Black-owned businesses is also an action non-Black allies can take during this moment in Charlotte’s history. By supporting these businesses, allies are expressing solidarity with Charlotte’s Black community and creating a long-term positive effect.

NOT JUST A FAD

And Madeline hopes the support will continue long after the protests have ended.

“it’s important to support Black businesses all the time on purpose and be intentional about it. With any marginalized community, if you don’t shed a positive light on them and support them, they’ll wither,” Madeline said. “When you go out of your way to support them, it creates a lane for other businesses to succeed the same way.”

Originally, the page’s creators planned to highlight one business each day on the page and encourage their followers to support it, but now they’re working on compiling a comprehensive list of every Black-owned business in Charlotte, going so far to create a map broken down by neighborhood. Later on, they hope to create a website and host networking events for local Black business owners and entrepreneurs.

In the meantime, here’s a list of 50 black-owned businesses in Charlotte.

Blac Chyna Poses In A Bathtub In Sultry Instagram Share

Michelle McGahan

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBCD5iIjei0/?utm_source=ig_embed

Blac Chyna modeled in a pristine white tub for one of her newest Instagram story photos, posing in a sheer, black minidress that showcased her ample assets. She posted the provocative picture to promote her OnlyFans account.

The 32-year-old model kneeled in the bathtub for the sexy shot, popping her booty for added effect. She looked at the camera with serious bedroom eyes, giving a “come hither” stare. Her arm was carefully positioned over her bust to cover any NSFW parts, her wrist touching her knee.

The former reality star posed from the side, emphasizing her hourglass figure. She rocked the see-through garment, which was skintight and clung to her every curve. The strapless frock not only showed off her bare shoulders, but exposed her midriff as well.

Chyna’s numerous multi-colored tattoos were on display, including her large back piece, which was visible through the outfit. Her floral leg tattoo, which snaked its way from her foot up to her calf, was one of the focal points of the photo. Her “King” ink, in honor of her son King Cairo, was present on her hand.

The frock sported fringe that cascaded down her back and into the tub, long, black strands that curved around her bottom.

She paired the dress with black stilettos with a strap that wrapped around her ankle.

As for her jewelry, Chyna accessorized the look with two silver bracelets and a silver necklace.

Her long nails appeared to be lacquered with a white polish.

Chyna sported light pink locks for the sensuous shot. She tilted her head forward, letting her long, wavy tresses curl around the nape of her neck and over her shoulder. The cotton candy-colored mermaid waves were a pop of color against the dark outfit.

She appeared to wear a full face of makeup, starting with her brows, which arched high over her honey brown eyes. Chyna looked to wear a smoky eye, with what seemed to be a charcoal-colored shadow on her lids that fanned out past her eyes, giving her a cat-eye effect. Her lashes curled upwards in a dramatic fashion. Her lids appeared to be rimmed with kohl liner, making the whites of her eyes stand out. Her lower lashes seemed to be coated with black mascara.

Her contoured cheeks looked to be brushed with bronzer and highlighter, making her cheekbones pop. Her lips appeared to be filled in with a frosty pink lipstick that matched her hair.

Tammy Hembrow Is Done With ‘Ignorant’ People In Hilarious Instagram Post

By Elise Nelson

Tammy Hembrow
took to Instagram on Friday to show fans just how fed up she is with the world’s “ignorant” people. In a hilarious photo on her feed, the model rocked a revealing, all-black workout set as she made an exasperated face for the camera. In the caption, Tammy wrote that she realized just how much ignorance exists in the world.

The photo showed Tammy standing in a white room as she leaned on some sort of white pedestal or box. The image had a grainy ’90s-style home video filter over it, with a timestamp in one corner and “REC” on the other side. Though the corner of the room was dark, a beam of light did appear to be shining down on Tammy. The light washed over Tammy’s back and highlighted her tan skin. She looked casual yet sexy in her tight-fitting ensemble.

Tammy’s look included a skintight black sports bra in a racerback style. Tammy’s arm covered her chest, so the neckline of the piece was not visible. However, fans could see that the fabric hugged her busty chest closely, while the longline band clung to her curvy figure.

Tammy’s flat, toned tummy and black outlined tattoo were exposed between the sports bra and a pair of yoga leggings. The leggings featured a high waistband that held in her abs and drew attention to her hourglass figure. Meanwhile, her legs looked as sculpted as ever in the tight bottoms.

Tammy finished off the ensemble with a black fabric headband. She appeared to be rocking a full face of makeup, including contoured cheekbones, bright highlighter, dark eyeshadow, thick lashes, and a nude lipstick. She wore her long, blond hair down in luscious curls.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBDJ373nKMZ/?utm_source=ig_embed

Tammy leaned over the pedestal and bent one arm across the top. She rested her chin on her other hand. The fitness guru kept her back straight as she pointed her gaze at the camera. Tammy narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips, looking frustrated.

The post garnered more than 179,000 likes and nearly 700 comments in a few hours, proving to be a hit with Tammy’s fans. Many of the model’s followers praised her stunning beauty and agreed with her sentiment in the comments section.

“When you realize how pretty and gorgeous you are!” one fan said with a black heart.

“Beautiful, girlie!” another user added.

“This is a whole vibe,” a third follower wrote.

Tammy’s fans know that she can pull off any look. In a post last week, the model sported a tiny pink bikini as she posed for a mirror selfie, which her followers loved.

Babes Wodumo’s management slams ‘cocaine’ accusations during viral Instagram Live video

BY CHRIZELDA KEKANA

Gqom artist Babes Wodumo’s team have vehemently denied allegations that the musician was seen taking drugs during an emotionally charged Instagram Live interview on Thursday night.

Babes topped the Twitter trends list on Friday, after a video of her breaking down during an interview with socialite Tha, from reality show Kwa MaMkhize Fame, went viral.

Shortly after a tearful Babes disconnected from Instagram Live, Tha also burst into tears and insinuated that she had allegedly taken cocaine in front of him and viewers.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Babes’ sister and PR manager Nondumiso Simelane strongly denied the accusations.

“If you saw the Live, you will also testify. Everyone who watched the Live didn’t see any cocaine so that is the answer. Just so we are clear, regarding the cocaine story, there was no cocaine in sight and viewers of that live also said as much.”

In the viral video, which was done on Babes’ boyfriend and fellow musician, Mampintsha’s Instagram Stories, the Wololo hitmaker struggled to fight back tears as she opened up about the pain of being judged by people who know nothing about her.

She spoke about the pressure she has been under and how people had apparently dismissed her personal issues and written her off. Shortly after Babes had disconnected from the live chat, Tha claimed he had just seen her taking cocaine and that she would never change.

Nondumiso said she had no idea why Tha would say something like this about Babes.

“As for Tha saying that, you will have to ask him why he said that, because that’s on him. We don’t know anything about the cocaine that Tha apparently saw … ask him, maybe he’ll answer. You never know, sometimes you think you saw something and it turned out to be nothing or maybe he had his own motives … We don’t know,” she said.

Nondumiso went on to admit that Babes was under the influence of alcohol.

“Babes is okay. The only thing you saw and she also admitted to was that she was busy drinking. She has her Savanna or whatever. She even said during the live, ‘Ey guys I am drinking.’ But there was no cocaine, that’s it,” Nondumiso said.

Several attempts by TshisaLIVE to get comment from Tha on the allegations were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this article.
