8 Best Instagram Presets For Pictures At Home & Getting Creative At Home

BY MARISA CASCIANO

Getting creative at home is easier than you may think. It can start with a picture of your #outfitoftheday taken in your vintage-looking mirror, or a selfie with the colorful breakfast you just made. It can be as ~extra~ as you want it to be — meaning, you could pull out your digital camera and have a photo shoot with the flowers on your kitchen counter, or take a few simple pics of your latest clothing haul and apply some of the best Instagram presets for pictures at home to the well-lit ones.

It’s really up to you to tap into your artsy side and see where the flow of inspiration takes you. Will you find yourself spending an afternoon with your pup and capturing every little sprint they do across your backyard on film? Will you quickly angle your lens at your morning coffee, before grabbing your laptop and signing onto work for the day? Nobody knows yet, but you can best believe the right filter will make those moments as dreamy as the sky right after the sun sets.

Each preset when applied will mellow out the yellows in your walls, and make your raspberry-toned lipstick pop. They’ll brighten up your space, or give it a cozy atmosphere. You’ll want to keep being creative at home after working with them in Adobe Lightroom on your desktop or phone. Here are the eight best presets for your indoor pics to purchase RN.

1. Cara Jourdan Mobile Presets

First up, head to your backyard or driveway with your phone. Take pictures amongst the blooming flowers or sitting in the trunk of your car. Then, open up your Lightroom app and get to work with the Cara Jourdan Mobile Presets. With just one click, and maybe a few adjustments, they’ll bring depth and a ton of saturation into your photo. They’ll make your feed look like a work of art.

2. Elsa Collection 2.0 (Mobile)

If you aren’t already following Ellie Bullen on Instagram and using her presets, then you’re in for a real treat. There’s not another pack like her Elsa Collection 2.0 one on the market, that brings every photo to life and makes your space into a living version of a coffee table book. You’ll want to purchase them and then try them out on your smoothie bowls, floral baths, and pool selfies.

3. Aspyn Ovard Minimal Instagram Mobile Presets

Here’s the deal: You need Aspyn Ovard’s Minimal Instagram Mobile Presets. They come as a pack of three and will make any picture with your pup or pretty room look magical. They dim any yellow tones to give your photographs a beachy vibe, and will truly shine on your feed next to selfies or cute garden snaps.

4. Chloe Wen’s “Naturally” Preset

When you’re hanging out at home in a pair of sweatpants and watering your succulents, look no further than Chloe Wen’s “Naturally” preset. It’s designed to make your space look cool, calm, and collected, and will pair well with any other presets you may use. The best part? On cloudy days, it’ll brighten up your day and photos to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

5. TYFRENCH02 Preset Pack

When it comes to Ty French‘s presets, you can always expect your photo to turn into a film camera’s masterpiece. That’s no different with the TYFRENCH02 preset pack that’s extra vibrant, and filled with grain. The five different presets can be used within the desktop and mobile versions of Lightroom, and are worth messing with for an entire afternoon. Make sure you bring in some props before cueing the self-timer, OK?

6. Marie Fe And Jake Snow’s The Ultimate Mobile Pack

Odds are, if you’re searching for presets that work well with photos taken indoors, you’re not doing much traveling right now. That’s all well and good, because you can still make the most of Marie Fe and Jake Snow’s The Ultimate Mobile Pack. Use the 12 mobile and desktop presets in this pack when you want to illuminate your breakfast or make a chill Saturday afternoon feel like a spontaneous excursion. Your wanderlust will adore what you come up with.

7. Somewhere Devine’s Everyday Mobile Preset

Your go-to indoor preset can, and should, be this Everyday Mobile Preset created by the Devine family. If you’re in the market for a pre-curated aesthetic or a filter that’ll work well with pictures taken on your phone, this is for you. Buy it ASAP and watch your space flourish and bloom.

8. Matty Vogel’s World Presets vol. 01

‘Like Nastya,’ 6-Year-Old YouTube Superstar, to Develop Consumer Products Under IMG Pact

By Todd Spangler

Get ready to see a tide of T-shirts, toys and other merch based on “Like Nastya,” the hugely popular Russian-American 6-year-old YouTube vlogger.

The family of Anastasia Radzinskaya, star of YouTube’s Like Nastya channel with nearly 54 million subscribers, inked an exclusive global deal with IMG to develop a line of licensed consumer products. The internet star is managed by Eyal Baumel, CEO of L.A.-based multichannel network Yoola, and repped by WME, which like IMG is a division of Endeavor.

IMG, the Anastasia’s first licensing representative, will work with the family to explore licensed product opportunities including “toys, apparel, accessories, homeware, food and beverage and more,” the company said.

The kid influencer’s YouTube channels generate over 3.3 billion monthly views. She is among the top-earning YouTubers, having generated $18 million revenue from June 2018-June 2019, per Forbes estimates.

Born in Russia in 2014, Radzinskaya was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In 2016, her parents started sharing videos on YouTube of her engaging in regular activities and several videos went viral after her condition improved. Anastasia now vlogs with her dad and the family has some 120 million subscribers across multiple YouTube channels including Like Nastya, Like Nastya Show, Like Nastya Vlog, and Like Nastya PRT. Anastasia speaks four languages (Russian, English, Spanish and Mandarin) and produces local-language content across the channels.

“We are pleased to be working with IMG to develop products that will provide new ways for Anastasia’s millions of viewers around the world to engage with her vibrant personality, stories and content,” Baumel said in a statement.

Gary Krakower, IMG’s VP of licensing, added that the merchandise-development focus will be on products “that highlight and embody the spirit of her educational, playful and colorful YouTube content, which we hope will inspire children to embrace their curiosity and explore the world around them.”

Here’s how you can disconnect contact syncing and remove contact list on Instagram

In case your are struggling with discontinuing your contact list syncing on Instagram, then you have come to the right place for the solution.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Instagram is built with the aim to ease the user’s connectivity and communication.
  • You can connect with people on Instagram by syncing your account with your contact list.
  • In case you want to disconnect the syncing of contact list, then Instagram removes all the previously synced contact info.

Instagram has become one of those few social networking services that we don’t just use for photo or video sharing or posting. The app or the browser is helping us sustain our everyday communication, connectivity and creative needs. Now you must be wondering ‘how does Instagram suffice our creative needs?’

Instagram comes with so many in-built filters and effects for our pictures and videos. We can play along with our posts and stories by adding GIFs, stickers or trending hashtags. And all of this not only helps us get creative but also helps us find new people who share a similar interest like ours. For example, if you follow a particular hashtag on Instagram, you can view every person who has posted a picture with that hashtag and if you want, you can even follow them. These hashtags and stickers could also help stay updated about the activities of your current followers. For example, Instagram recently launched a stay-at-home sticker and then it created a different story for all the people in your following list that used this sticker. You could easily view all the stories as all of them were put together; so you didn’t have to indulge in the task of viewing each profile differently.

There are plenty of ways Instagram connects you with people; you can send them follower requests using mutual followers, you can search for their username and if your Instagram is synced with Facebook, then you can also follow the same people that you have friended on Facebook on Instagram. One another way to stay in touch with your friends and colleagues is by linking your Instagram account with your contact’s list. You can find your friends on Instagram if they have registered their mobile numbers with their Instagram handles. However, there are times when you no more want to keep your contacts synced with your Instagram. In that case, you can discontinue contact syncing and remove your contact list from InstagramHow to disconnect contact syncing and remove contact list on InstagramSTEP 1Visit your profile and tap the three-parallel lined icon on the top right hand cornerSTEP 2Click on Settings > Account > Contact SyncingSTEP 3Click on Connect Contacts and then tap Disconnect

The Obamas will headline YouTube’s graduation ceremony

Igor Bonifacic

michelle and barack obama

It turns out students who are graduating this year will have some options when it comes to their choice of a virtual ceremony. Following Facebook, YouTube announced today it plans to host an online graduation ceremony to honor the class of 2020 as they’re forced to stay home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dubbed “Dear Class of 2020,” the event will kick off on June 6th at 3PM ET, with a commencement address delivered by former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. Google CEO Sundar Pichai will also make an appearance, as will musicians like Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys and Kelly Rowland. As you might have guessed from the festival-like lineup, they’ll be musical performances in between speeches. And at the end, K-pop group BTS will host a virtual after-party.

YouTube will air the entire multi-hour event on its Originals channel, as well as its Learn@Home website. The company plans to share the day’s full schedule on May 17th.

It’s not a surprise to see Michelle Obama as one of the event’s commencement speakers. The former First Lady is no stranger to working with YouTube. In March, she was one of the stars of the company’s new Creators for Change series. As with Facebook’s virtual graduation, most students would probably prefer to see their friends in person one last time before the end of the school year. That said, it’s not every day someone like the former of the President of the United States delivers your commencement address.

NBA’S RUDY GOBERT CLAPS BACK AT COVID TROLL ON STREAM … ‘Go To School, P***y’

“Go to school, p***y!”

That’s how Rudy Gobertreacted when a fan trolled him over his coronavirus diagnosis on a Twitch stream Monday … with the NBA player pausing his game to dish out the clap back.

The Utah Jazz star — whose COVID-19 diagnosis in March was ultimately the impetus for the NBA suspending its season — was playing Call of Duty when someone went off in the comments.

The remark has since been removed from Gobert’s chat history … but the person behind the comment claims it said, “Thanks for starting covid in the nba dumbass.”

Gobert — who answers comments periodically during his gaming — stopped his avatar for a few seconds to fire back at user “gbgator” … saying, “Hey, gabo, gato, gator — go to school, p***y!”

Gobert has been very open about his struggles with COVID-19 since testing positive, apologizing for his flippant actions prior to the test … and even saying the virus made him lose his sense of smell.

Gobert also admitted the diagnosis affected his relationship with teammate Donovan Mitchell, who reportedly was upset with the way Rudy acted before testing positive.

But, Gobert — who’s now cleared of the virus — has since said he’s working on burying the hatchet with Mitchell … and is already training hard for whenever the NBA season resumes

Pixar’s YouTube channel shares cooking tutorials inspired by its movies

‘Cooking with Pixar’ could help add some spice to your quarantine meals

Thomas Metevia

Cooking With Pixar -YouTube

If there is one thing Pixar has taught us, it’s that “anyone can cook.”

Now the award-winning animation studio is giving us something to cook, with the help of its new cooking tutorials.

“Cooking With Pixar” is a new series featured on the Pixar YouTube channel.

Each video shows a step-by-step process for making easy recipes that kids of all ages can help out with.

The collection of recipes is inspired by films such as “Toy Story,” “Onward” and the short “Bao.”

The quick videos include fun animation, with our favorite Pixar characters stopping by to help demonstrate the recipes.

So, what are we making?

The latest upload features a birthday cake inspired by Pixar’s latest film, “Onward.”

Elf brothers Ian and Barley help you along your quest to make a cake fit for any wizard.

The brothers mix, bake and frost a vanilla cake that looks way too good to eat — seriously.

Pepperoni pizza

In the mood for something less sweet and more savory? How about pizza?

Who hasn’t wondered what pizza from Pizza Planet would taste like? Well, now’s your chance to test it out. Cook alongside Forkey from “Toy Story 4” as you create a Pizza Planet pepperoni pizza with bell pepper rings. The pie is fit for any toy, big or small.

Dumplings

Families can also recreate Bao, the iconic dumpling featured in Pixar’s Oscar-winning short of the same name. Spoiler alert, there are no measurements listed in the video, however, you can find them written here.

Everything in this video is made from scratch, starting with the dough and ending with the pork filling.

These recipes are a perfect excuse to get the kids in the kitchen and have fun, while also making a great meal.

It’s important to note that Pixar’s cooking videos don’t include ingredient portions or measurements. So, if you aren’t comfortable cooking that way, it might be a good idea to keep a similar recipe handy to compare.

Here’s hoping that we get more Pixar-inspired recipes soon.

Anyone up for some “Ratatouille?”

Facebook working on new version of Oculus Quest headset

By: Jason Aycock

Facebook’s (FB +1.9%) Oculus is building a new version of its Quest stand-alone virtual reality headset, though it and other Oculus developments are fighting headwinds due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Several potential Quest successors are under development, Bloomberg reports, including some that are smaller, lighter and have a faster refresh rate; it’s not final which new version will be released.

The new Quest was set to be launched around Oculus Connect at the end of 2020, but supply-chain problems and other issues could delay shipping into 2021.

It’s the midrange offering from Oculus. The current Quest is $399, cheaper than the high-end Rift S but better than the entry-level Oculus Go.

The company’s also building an augmented reality headset, though the virus has slowed hardware development there as well. It had been planned for a 2023 launch.
