Pink Slams Critics of Her Black Lives Matter Post on Instagram

BY ROBIN ZLOTNICK

As the United States is rocked by yet another instance of police brutality, celebrities are starting to use their voices to speak up in support of Black Lives Matter. Recently, Pink reposted Billie Eilish’s post explaining why “All Lives Matter” is inappropriate, and she got a fair amount of hate for it on Instagram. In true Pink fashion, though, she clapped back and shut them down.

Singer Billie Eilish, who has upwards of 63 million followers on Instagram, used her platform to explain why “All Lives Matter” does not help the cause. “NO ONE IS SAYING YOUR LIFE DOESN’T MATTER,” she wrote in all caps. “NO ONE IS SAYING YOUR LIFE IS NOT HARD. NO ONE IS SAYING LITERALLY ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT YOU.”

A post shared by BILLIE EILISH (@billieeilish) on

“YOU ARE NOT IN NEED,” her post continues. “YOU ARE NOT IN DANGER… YOU ARE PRIVILEGED WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. SOCIETY GIVES YOU PRIVILEGE JUST FOR BEING WHITE. YOU CAN BE POOR, YOU CAN BE STRUGGLING.. AND STILL YOUR SKIN COLOR IS GIVING YOU MORE PRIVILEGE.”

It’s a succinct, impassioned, and accurate statement, and Pink showed her support for Billie’s words by reposting them on her own account. In her post, she credited Billie and simply added, “Say it.”

That was enough to garner hate from ignorant people left and right. People wondered why we were making the murder of a black man at the hands of the police “about race,” as if this hasn’t happened time and time again.

Others defended the use of “All Lives Matter” and said she should focus on condemning the violence that broke out at many of the protests (seemingly ignoring the fact that in many places, the police were the ones who instigated the violence)

But Pink didn’t have time for the ignorance. According to US Weekly, one commenter wrote, “Totally get where you’re coming from. HOWEVER, as a person with a lawyer brain, I have to say… when you single out one race and say ‘that’ race matters. You ARE implicitly saying other races don’t matter as much. It is automatically inferred… This could happen to ANY ONE OF US! THAT is the atrocity! THAT is the REAL issue. It is not about race.”

Pink responded to this nonsense with, “You are the epitome of white privilege and the saddest part is that you don’t even hear yourself and probably never will.” And it’s true.

If at this point, after George Floyd and Philando Castile and Breonna Taylor and Sandra Bland and Eric Garner and Freddie Gray and so many others, you still believe that “anyone” can be killed by the police without doing a single thing wrong, you are blind to reality.

It’s precisely because of ignorant people like this that Pink and other white people must speak up and have these difficult discussions. The burden should not be on Black people to educate others about the issues they face every day.

It is not enough to not to be racist; we must be actively anti-racist in order to effect much overdue change. Here is a good starter list of resources for white people to educate themselves. Don’t let Pink school you. Be like Pink and work to educate others.

Facebook Launches “Venue” To Focus More On Live Events

Ilker Koksal

Facebook’s R&D group, NPE Team, has released a new live event tool called “Venue” which improves the second screen experience for people watching live events. With Venue, the company aims to bring passionate fans and expert commentators together to experience live events in a new interactive way, starting with Today’s NASCAR race.

The app provides interactive actions, while the live event is happening. It provides interactive questions, polls, and open up short chats all around the specific moments of the live event. “Despite drawing large concurrent viewership, live broadcasts are still a mostly solo viewing experience. Passionate fans are constantly seeking better ways to engage with other fans and experts around their favorite events. Venue aims to give fans an interactive second-screen experience, curated by experts and centered on the pivotal moments of their favorite events,” Facebook states.

Second-screening has become a key component of live events, especially sports organizations – according to Facebook research, 94% of people keep a smartphone on hand while watching live TV. Most of the social interaction platforms have been trying to figure out the best case (mostly to catch the moments simultaneously) for this, but the competition is still going on. “Venue is designed so that fans can split their attention between the race and their phones better than they can today. Venue does this by allowing commentators to create ‘Moments’ — short-lived digital opportunities for fans to connect — whenever they think something memorable or interesting is happening on the track. Fans are notified whenever a new Moment is created so that they can hop in and out of Venue if they want to,” Facebook states.

With the partnership with NASCAR, Facebook makes the sports organization the first to use the platform. Tim Clark, NASCAR’s Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, states that “Venue will provide users with a unique and exciting way to connect with fellow race fans from around the globe – all from the safety and comfort of their own homes. NASCAR was built on innovation, and we couldn’t be more excited to help a great partner like Facebook’s New Product Experimentation team innovate around new platforms.”

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 process has impacted live events loads upwardly, and Facebook’s experimental app division has released offerings in regards to that. Even this month, the team has released a music-making app called Collab and a group voice-calling app called CatchUp.

Facebook’s Venue app is live on iOS and Android.

Love Island star Charlie Brake deletes Twitter account after being labelled racist for tweet supporting Donald Trump

ByJJ Anisiobi

Love Island star Charlie Brake has deleted his Twitter account after being called a racist for a tweet he sent out.

The 25 year old millionaire provoked anger after retweeting and commenting on an inflammatory tweet from Donald Trump which was referring to Americans rioting in the wake of George Floyd being killed by a police officer.

Self-proclaimed billionaire originally tweeted: “These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen.”

Trump went on to suggest that anybody looting would be shot by law officials, writing: “Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”

The tweet, which was widely condemned, was then shared by Charlie as he commented: “Moral of the story… don’t loot or thieve. SIMPLE.”

Following Charlie’s controversial opinion hundreds of Twitter users slammed his tweet and labelled him a racist.

British rapper Fredo said: “It will be real life when I see u racist p***y”, while another user said: “Lol why did @charlie_brake delete his tweet? If you’re going to chat nonsense say it with your chest! We all see you hun. #racist”.

A third added: “Why is the rich white kid trying to talk on issues with black people that he has no idea about? smh”.

As the criticism towards the Love Islander continued Charlie deleted his Twitter account but later posted an explanation for his actions on Instagram.

He wrote: “About my post yesterday. It was absolutely not my intention to cause offence. Straight off, I want to say I am sorry and I did not understand the full picture of an incredibly serious situation.

“I don’t think my ignorance should be an excuse and I don’t want to make excuses. This is an apology.”

Charlie, whose family’s business Brakes, a food distribution company formed by his grandfather, was sold for £400million, continued: “I am probably the epitome of white privilege.

“I can’t change the world I was born in to but I can show & offer my full support.

By Amanda Lynne

Heat Wave ?? @fashionnova bikini ? Fashionnovapartner

A post shared by Rachel ward (@rachelward_e) on

Rachel Ward rocked another skimpy ensemble for her most recent Instagram update on Friday. The sexy model flashed her curves while alluding to a heat wave.

In the racy pic, Rachel looked like a total smokeshow wearing a blue and white ruffled bikini. The tiny top featured a knotted front and a low cut neckline to flaunt her abundant cleavage. It also exposed her toned arms and shoulders.

The matching bikini bottoms featured ruffles along the waistline as it hugged her tiny waist and curvy hips tightly. The garment also accentuated her long, lean legs. Her flat tummy and rock-hard abs were also spotlighted in the snap.

Rachel accessorized the style with a pair of gold hoop earrings. She also wore a light blue dress shirt on her arms, but let the shirt fall off of her shoulders.

In the first photo, she had one knee bent and placed her hand on her hip. Her other arm fell at her side as she gave a steamy gaze into the camera. The second shot was similar. Rachel had her hip pushed to the side as she stared away from the lens with a sultry expression on her face.

Rachel wore her long, blond hair parted in the center. She styled the golden locks in loose waves that fell down her back and tumbled over her shoulder.

She also opted for a full face of makeup. The glam look seemed to consist of mascara-covered lashes and smoky eye shadow, as well as black eyeliner and defined brows.

She looked to complement her bronzed skin with pink blush on the apples of her cheeks and a shimmering glow on her forehead, nose, chin, and under eyes. She appeared to finish off her face with dark pink lipstick.

Rachel’s 598,000-plus followers were quick to start sharing their love for the post, clicking the like button more than 8,100 times in less than 24 hours after it was published to her account. Fans also flooded the comments section with over 230 messages during that time.

“Gorgeous,” one follower wrote.

“Can’t cope with how unreal you are,” another stated.

“Hottttttt,” a third social media user declared.

“So cute,” a fourth person gushed.

The model is no stranger to showing some skin online. She’s been known to sport racy bathing suits, tiny lingerie, and tight dresses on a regular basis for her photos.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Rachel recently delighted her followers when she posed in a green cutout bathing suit. To date, that post has reeled in more than 15,000 likes and over 300 comments.

Azealia Banks Bashes Nicki Minaj & Doja Cat On Filthy Instagram Live

by Kate Reynolds

NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 08: Azealia Banks performs during 2013 Governors Ball Music Festival at Randall’s Island on June 8, 2013 in New York City. (Photo by Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images)

Azealia Banks took to Instagram to talk trash about Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat after the success of the pair’s song “Say So.” She posted many long videos on her Instagram story saying that Minaj is “jealous” of Cardi B and that Doja Cat is racist calling her a “white bitch.”

Minaj and Cardi B have had drama of their own, but Banks believes that it all comes down to jealousy. Banks said, “Another thing that I find f–king funny, is Nicki… for all the f–king mouth you have for Cardi B for talking shit about black women, and now you quiet because you got your little number one with this white bitch. You a pussy ass bitch. F–k outta here. … You shoulda got right on that Queen Radio and you put that bitch in the ground where she belongs. Put that bitch down in the f–king South African emerald mine where the fuck that white bitch belongs.”

Banks’ allegations against Doja Cat are most likely due to speculation about Doja Cat’s actions on an online video chat room. Footage was captured of Doja Cat interacting with a white supremacist group. The hashtag “#DojaCatIsOverParty” was trending this weekend.

Banks said, “Now I’m looking back at it, you were just jealous of Cardi… She’s got more swag than you. You made a whole radio show about how Cardi B is bad for black women.” Because of this Banks said that she thought Minaj should appear on Queen Radio to stand up against what Doja Cat has done, “I’m just very disappointed in you… You selling out, keeping quiet.”

Banks has a reputation of posting negative thoughts of other celebrities on social made. She had previously made comments about Minaj back in 2017, but apologized and swore never to do it again.

Most recently she has started to talk about men she has been in relationships with. About Dave Chappelle she said, “I have actually f–ed a lot of f–king very powerful fucking men. I should ruin your f–king marriage, I should tell the world we fucked. What the f–k I’m keeping secrets from y’all n—as for? Nah, Dave Chappelle can fuck me again. That was some good black dick.”

So he replied to Kevin Durant to Rihanna on Instagram by joke about his positive diagnosis of coronavirus | People | Entertainment

By Jenni Smith

Kevin Durant, the world-known as one of the great players of the NBA and the singer Rihanna had a lot of fun to their fans in a Live Instagram to exchange comments and jokes for the positive diagnosis of Covid-19 of the leading american.

The pop star joined the live session, DJ Spade on Saturday night and joked about that Durant had coronavirus, among the comments, both characters said: “Is it allowed that Kevin Durant is in this transmission? Should I use a mask for this streaming?”, asked the singer, to which the player of the Brooklyn Nets, he replied: “hey, did you not just return from Europe?”

The response of the two-time NBA champion was typically quick as they headed to Rihanna as “Robyn”, the real name of the pop star, with what Durant acknowledged that his cough sounded “Rona-ish”, but warned Rihanna that I could have contracted the virus in Europe without showing any symptoms, since the virus is “stalked” in the Atlantic since December.

The joke of Rihanna seems to have not been to the liking of the fans of Kevin, or of the other members of the Brooklyn Nets who had also tested positive in the test, since the singer did not first sent a greeting of improvement for Durant and only alluded to that if it was to be a máscarilla for that transmission.

After the response of Kevin on Instagram, the nine-time Grammy winner replied that he had returned to the united States for at least two months.

Drake also chimed in with a joke and posted a comment that said: “We have to bury the jokes about the Crown of Treyfive (Kevin Durant)”, but neither Rihanna nor the basket player got alluded to your comment. The fun flirtation between the artist and the athlete is no stranger to those who follow the characters of the show, as the eaves of the Nets takes years to launching indirect amorous relationship to Rihanna.

KevinDurant is one of 13 players or members of the team in the NBA that have tested positive for coronavirus, since the center of the Utah Jazz, Rudy Gobert, became the first player to give positive COVID-19 on march 11.

The team-mate of Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, and the eaves of the Detroit Pistons, Christian Wood, were also positive. Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets announced that members of their organizations had given a positive COVID-19, but none of the teams confirmed if any of their players was affected. The same day, it was also confirmed that two players of The los Angeles Lakers and the guard of the Boston Celtics, Marcus Smart, tested positive for the virus. (E)

Trump’s Twitter Feed Has Been A Defining Feature of His Presidency. Here’s Why That Won’t Change

BY BRIAN BENNETT

It was just before 1AM early Friday morning, and President Donald Trump was awake and tweeting. Responding to the looting and rioting that broke out in Minneapolis over George Floyd’s death in police custody there, Trump wrote that the U.S. military is with the state’s governor Tim Walz “all the way” and that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Twitter decided the tweet “glorified violence” and violated its user policies, and appended a note saying so to Trump’s feed.

Trump was incensed.

The moment showcased Trump’s habitual instinct to press on the sorest spots of American public debate, and to use Twitter to do it. It also highlighted the tension between Trump’s reliance on the social media platform to broadcast his instant reaction to events and the challenge Twitter is facing when it comes to how far to let Trump’s speech go.

Twitter drew Trump’s ire earlier in the week when, for the first time, it began directing users to news sites fact-checking the President’s misleading assertions made on the platform about voting by mail. He demanded aides quickly write an order for him to sign that would revisit how much liability social media companies face for content posted on their site, a review that — ironically — could put pressure on companies to restrict more speech like Trump’s and not less.

Trump’s campaign and political rise have relied on social media platforms, but he’s also been a regular voice blasting social media companies for what he says is a bias against conservative speech. It’s a tension that’s playing out in real time as social media companies face public pressure to limit the spread of incendiary, hateful or false information onlineincluding when it comes from the President.

Social media seems tailor-made for Trump’s instinctive talent to grab headlines, says Julian Zelizer, a historian at Princeton University. “He understands what goes viral,” Zelizer says. “Each time he does this, he understands that even if it’s bad press, it’s press for him. It’s better than headlines about the pandemic and the death toll which fall on his shoulders.”

During Trump’s political ascent in 2016, the American public witnessed him use Twitter like few American politicians had before, venting grievances, insulting rivals and floating off-the cuff policy ideas. But except for President Trump’s own use, Trump’s campaign rolled back its reliance on Twitter after the 2016 election, campaign manager Brad Parscale said in a statement on Friday. “We have known for a long time that social media companies have it in for conservatives in general and President Trump specifically,” Parscale said. “There are various reasons we pulled our massive advertising spending from Twitter months ago, and their obvious political bias is one of them.”

When asked to elaborate on Parscale’s statement, a Trump campaign official said the Trump campaign pulled spending with Twitter in 2017 and spent no money advertising with the company in 2018. “After begging us, we told Twitter some things they’d have to do for us to test again, they did and we spent $6K in 2019,” the official said. The official did not say whether the campaign plans to make further adjustments to its Twitter strategy in light of the latest controversy.

Trump on Thursday said Twitter is making “editorial decisions” by pointing readers to fact checks of his tweets. “In those moments, Twitter ceases to be a neutral public platform, they become an editor with a viewpoint. I think we can say that about others also, whether you’re looking at Google, whether you’re looking at Facebook and perhaps others,” Trump said.

Indeed, some critics saw Trump’s executive order this week as a way to intimidate other social media companies going forward and make them think twice about limiting or fact-checking Trump’s messaging on their platforms. Facebook and other online platforms remain a significant part of the campaign’s strategy to amplify the President’s message, collect data to mobilize supporters and organize volunteers.

“His call to punish Twitter for its fact-checking of his blatantly false statements is akin to threatening to shut down a newspaper or a TV network for a report considered unfriendly,” said Suzanne Nossel, CEO of PEN America, a non-profit that advocates for freedom of speech. “He isn’t protecting free speech; he is chilling it.”

But even if his campaign says Twitter isn’t central to the President’s political strategy heading into November, old habits die hard. Facing a backlash that his early morning tweet was encouraging deadly force and echoed slogans linked to deadly police practices in the late-1960s, where did Trump go to clarify his statement? Twitter.

“Looting leads to shooting,” Trump tweeted, pointing to shootings in Minneapolis and Louisville, Kentucky. “I don’t want this to happen, and that’s what the expression put out last night means.” A few minutes later, White House reporters were ready to ask President Trump in person what his tweets meant, but he didn’t take questions.

Khloe Kardashian finally addresses her dramatically different look: ‘Once and for all stop doing it’

Kelsey Weekman

As one does. #CommentsByCelebs

A post shared by Comments By Celebs (@commentsbycelebs) on

Khloe Kardashian set the internet ablaze when she shared a simple photo to Instagram on May 22 — and the flame has been burning for a full week.

Fans said she looked drastically different, and for the most part, she ignored that feedback. She continued posting more photos without responding to any of the comments.

After sharing a second selfie, fans didn’t stop questioning her. One Instagram user asked, “Why do you look so different in all your photos?

Khloe didn’t hesitate to offer a quick clapback this time.

“From my weekly face transplant clearly,” she wrote.

That response didn’t satisfy many fans — some accused her of either getting plastic surgery in quarantine or heavily editing her photos.

“She’s probably sarcastically telling the truth,” one said.

“She really needs to own up to the FaceTune bs. And once and for all stop doing it,” another wrote.

That’s not the only thing on Kardashian’s Instagram that’s had fans talking this week.

Her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson left a spicy comment on that original photo that made people wonder if the two were rekindling the flame between them while in quarantine.

Only time will tell what relationships — and what new looks — will last for Kardashian when she’s out and about once again.

Instagram Model Sophia Diamond Shows Off Her Athletic Figure And Insane Flexibility

Brandon Bombay

Instagram
star Sophia Diamond showed off her athletic figure while putting her insane flexibility on display in her latest video. She struck several jaw-dropping poses in a grassy field while wearing a tube top and tiny white shorts.

The social media influencer has showcased her flexible body in popular TikTok posts in the past, and exhibited those same skills for this upload. In the short clip she was recorded in a serene-looking field that was surrounded by lush greenery. She wore her long golden blond hair down and wavy for the clip. Diamond rocked a small shadow-colored tube top that wrapped around her assets, and a pair of white gym shorts that fit snug around her backside. The model wore white knee pads and a pair of white sneakers with butterflies on the side to complete the ensemble.

For the first pose, Diamond was filmed from the side as she performed a split with her right leg forward and her left leg in the back. The model slowly arched her torso back and nearly touched her head to her back foot. Fans were treated to a glimpse of her toned legs as she completed the maneuver. Drake’s “Chicago Freestyle” played over the clip.

The Canadian model did a cartwheel-handstand flip for the second move and then laid down in the grass on her side. Diamond pulled her left leg up and held it with both hands behind her head for an impressive third pose. After that, she did a handstand while doing the splits. The social media star performed several elegant dance moves to complete the video. In her caption she complained about the heat, which left her somewhat restricted while filming, and asked if her fans were flexible.

Many of her 1.2 million followers responded to the tranquil video, and more than 83,000 of them found their way to the “like” button. Diamond’s post received over 850 comments, as her replies were flooded with heart-eye and purple heart emoji. Fans expressed how impressed they were with her flexibility and physique.
