The three-time RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Shangela stars in the new HBO series We’re Here. HBO
In our new podcast series I’m So Obsessed, Pierce opens up about her new HBO show We’re Here, dealing with homophobia, and working with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born.
D.J. “Shangela” Pierce competed as a contestant on the popular reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race three times. But in April, Shangela branched out on her own with the new show We’re Here on HBO. It follows her, along with fellow Drag Race queens Eureka O’Hara and Bob the Drag Queen, as they travel across the US to small towns connecting with people who have queer or queer-adjacent stories. During an interview on CNET’s new podcast I’m So Obsessed, Shangela opened up about both the fun she had making We’re Here (spoiler: there’s lots of glitter) and the inspiration she gained from the people she met.
“We come to these cities and not only connect with people, but we have to build confidence in them and put them in drag for the very first time in their lives,” Shangela says. “Sometimes in places where you don’t think there’s support for the LGBTQ community there actually is.”
We’re Here is part reality show, part social experiment, part drag revue. Its six-episode first season wrapped at the beginning of June and is now available to stream on HBO and HBO Max. Earlier this month We’re Here was renewed for a second season.
My interview with Shangela was recorded at the beginning of April. In it we discuss how she got into drag, working with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the film A Star Is Born, the origin of her catchphrase, “Halleloo!” and what it’s like performing in 184 drag shows as part of the Werq the World tour that features stars from Drag Race.

Model Viktoria Varga put her jaw-dropping figure on display in a beach photo for her latest Instagram update. For the post, she was photographed on the sand in a thong bikini that gave viewers a glimpse of her backside.
Similar to other recent posts, the Hungarian tagged her location at the Summersalt Beach Club at the Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where she has been spending time amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Varga was shot on a gorgeous beach, and in the background the sky was a multitude of colors during sunset. The model stood on the sand and the leaf of a palm tree could be seen to the right.
Varga wore her long blond hair up in a ponytail and had her back to the camera for the serene snap. She held her arms in the air with her hands making a “rock on” sign, and it appeared as if she were walking into the sunset. The fashion designer had her right foot forward and her left foot back which helped accentuate her derriere.
The 28-year-old rocked a polka dot bikini, and the small straps of the top that tied in the back were visible. Her side-string thong bottoms were eye-catching, as they embellished her athletic booty and toned legs. Varga’s slender frame was silhouetted against the beautiful backdrop. She added a caption that mentioned this being her favorite time to be out. In the comment section, Varga added several hashtags including “#dubailife” and “#sunset.”
Many of the model’s 467,000 Instagram followers noticed the summery snap, and more than 8,200 of them showed their approval by slapping the “like” button in just over 10 hours after the post went live. Varga’s replies were riddled with different colored heart and heart-eye emoji. The model – who is famously dating Italian soccer pro Graziano Pelle – received a flood of comments in Italian. Fans complimented her physique and the stunning setting.
“Wow, amazing view and amazing girl,” one follower wrote while adding several heart-eye emoji.
“The best girl in the world!” another fan responded.
“BEAUTY and the BEACH = @vikyvarga,” an Instagram user commented.
“My best time of the day is to see your post,” one fan replied.
As covered by The Inquisitr, Varga scintillated fans earlier in the week with two steamy pics in lace lingerie. According to her caption, she used a self-timer to capture the spicy photos in the beige and tan-colored outfit. That upload earned more than 9,800 likes from her fan base.

She’s a Grammy-winning pop star and mother of two, and she still finds the time to get in her workout.
Pink took to Instagram with a grueling, hour-plus workout on Friday morning with fitness instructor extraordinaire Jeanette Jenkins, and toward the end she received some help from a couple of small coaches – her daughter Willow Sage, nine, and son Jameson Moon, three.
In the extended snippet, Pink, 40, is seen outside on her property on a mat on the stone patio, ready to work up a sweat while Jenkins occupies the lower half of the screen in her studio.

The kids join their mom for her fitness activities but also get distracted and run all over the place.
Jeannette notices the kids with Pink at one point, complimenting Willow on her outfit, but then reminds mom that ‘we still have to do the other side’ of their oblique situp crunches.
At another point, Pink even practices some acro-yoga with Willow, as the girl lays on her back with her legs up in a bit of a shoulder stand, while mom balances her hips on her daughter’s feet.
It’s quite reminiscent of Pink’s famous onstage antics, where she floats in acrobatic contortions while hanging from aerial ribbons.

Raven-Symoné introduced the world to her wife Thursday morning, sharing the news that she had a surprise backyard wedding with girlfriend Miranda Maday this week.
“I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home. I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday!” the actress and former co-host of “The View” posted on Instagram. (Symoné’s full name is Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman.)
Moments before the big reveal, Symoné had hinted at the nuptials with another Instagram post featuring a glass of bubbly. “So something happened this week, that has changed my life FOR THE BETTER!” she teased her 2 million followers.

Stassi Schroeder has posted on social media for the first time since she was fired from “Vanderpump Rules” for her racist behavior.
Schroeder, 31, posted a snap to her Instagram Story on Thursday of her and her fiancé, Beau Clark, 40, kissing. Over the weekend, it was revealed the couple is expecting their first child together.
Bravo axed Schroeder and Kristen Doute last week for accusing black cast member Faith Stowers of committing a crime she was not a part of back in 2018.
